Patricia Hammond has been involved in education, health and nutrition, agriculture, and economic development over the course of her career. In overseeing programs such as SNAP-Education/Eat Smart New York (ESNY) and the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program in Chautauqua County, Patricia has had years of experience working with Federal and State level nutritional and educational programs. She has also served the WNY regional ESNY program as a Senior Nutritionist for both Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties and managed the Dunkirk Farmer’s Market. In her current position, she is the Local Economic Development Coordinator for the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF). With NCCF’s focus on the creative economy and local economic development, Patricia will bring a unique perspective to the Council. She believes that the Council should work on supporting our current and emerging local businesses so that they can be sustainable and maintain profitability. She is also the owner of Avid Farms in Dunkirk, New York.
