Celebrate Trails Day: An Overview of the Celebration + Ways to Engage

Celebrate Trails Day is an annual springtime celebration of America’s trails. Each year, on the fourth Saturday of April, Rails to Trails Conservancy invites everyone to celebrate by getting outside to experience the joy and impact of the country’s trails. With 2026 marking RTC’s 40th anniversary and decades of progress made for the trails movement, we’re planning to make this Celebrate Trails Day the biggest and most impactful celebration yet. In this session, our team will share information about getting involved in Celebrate Trails Day 2026 as a partner. We will also provide an overview of Celebrate Trails Day; share ways to engage; go over the tools and materials RTC provides to help our partners plan, promote and participate in the celebration; and answer any of your questions.
