Lead Service Line Inventory Workshop

Under the federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, every Public Water System that is a federally-defined Community Water System or a Nontransient Non-Community Water System must, without exception, develop an initial service line material inventory by October 15, 2024. Also know as a Lead Service Line Inventory (LSU), this inventory must include all service lines, regardless of ownership, and make this inventory available to the public.

The NYS Tug Hill Commission and the nonprofit New York Rural Water Association are partnering together to create a free hybrid workshop to help walk communities through the LSU regulations, provide helpful data collection hints, and review LSU timelines. NYRWA will discuss their new Technical Assistance program aimed at providing communities with face-to-face, one-on-one assistance with the LSU spreadsheet.
