Public Hearing on 2026 Inclusion Requests for Chautauqua County’s Agricultural Districts

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, That the County Legislature of the County of Chautauqua will meet in the Legislature Chambers, Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie Street, Mayville, New York at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the 2026 inclusion requests for Chautauqua County Agricultural Districts described below that have been filed with the County Legislature and are recommended by the Chautauqua County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board. All persons attending shall have the right to provide comments and ask questions concerning the inclusion requests.

FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that tax parcels to be added to District 1 are as follows: 112.00-1-2 and to District 8 are as follows: 230.00-2-5, 368.07-2-10, and 368.07-2-11. District 1 includes the Towns of Dunkirk, Hanover, Pomfret, Portland, Ripley, Sheridan, and Westfield and City of Dunkirk, and District 8 includes the Towns of Busti, Carroll, Chautauqua, Ellery, Ellicott, Kiantone, Poland, and Stockton and City of Jamestown. AND FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the public may participate in the public hearing by appearing in person at the Legislature Chambers during the 6:35 p.m. public hearing to make a live statement.  The hearing facility is handicapped accessible.
