PUBLIC HEARING ON MODIFICATIONS TO CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY

AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT 8

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the County Legislature of the County of Chautauqua will meet in the Legislature Chambers, Gerace Office Building, 3 North Erie Street, Mayville, New York at 6:35 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the 8-year review of Chautauqua County’s Agricultural District 8 encompassing the Towns of Busti, Carroll, Chautauqua, Ellery, Ellicott, Kiantone, Poland, and Stockton and City of Jamestown. Chautauqua County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board recommended the continuation of Ag. District 8 with the modifications described below. All persons attending shall have the right to provide comments and ask questions concerning the 8-year review modifications.

FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the modifications to add or remove parcels from Agricultural District 8 are at the request of the landowner and/or recommendation by the municipality and have been filed with the County Legislature.  Tax parcels to be removed from District 8: 198.00-1-36, 312.00-1-5, 401.00-2-55, 437.00-2-3, 320.00-1-16, 267.00-1-13, 232.00-1-33, 247.00-2-25, 214.00-1-15, and 214.00-1-16.  Details regarding the proposed modifications can be found at: bit.ly/CHQagdistrict.

AND FURTHER NOTICE IS GIVEN, that the public may participate in the public hearing by appearing in person at the Legislature Chambers during the 6:35 p.m. public hearing to make a live statement.  The hearing facility is handicapped accessible.  The meeting is open to the public.
